Welcome back from that very long but wonderful (don’t know about you guys) weekend, Christ rose and now he is happy playing soccer with his Daddy, we celebrated ate a lot of food (points at self) made sure not to be very sinful even though it is quite unavoidable. And to those of you who went to the bars got drunk and those who were twerking all weekend, Jesus died for people like you. REPENT!
Anyways, the weekend started off with #5starFridayUg which was perfect, many people chasing after a ball while we ate muchomo and drunk some coke (that person that made our favourite punch at #Fnlbbal4 wasn’t there at the Astro turf, so we believed.
The best of the weekend was spent in Luweero on a beautiful sunny Saturday with the children of Happy Times Childcare Initiative and the rest of the 40Days 40Smiles team to debut the dorm under the #IBuiltAdorm campaign that comes after #BuyABrick.
The Dorm looks great and best of all spacious, there was joy on the team’s faces, you could see how proud they are that a small dream became something rather real.
Banange we had so much fun, played with those wonderful and beautiful children, it was so sweet hearing their giggles and laughter that evening and seeing grownups acting like children, it was a very beautiful
moment.
We have learned a lot from the #4040 team plus anyone affiliated to it, first of all this is not a foundation that is sponsored by a group of rich white people nor a huge government fund. It is a simple organization of a bunch of young people that have huge hearts and love for their community that they use the skills God gave them to give and help those that have less. They come up with these campaigns that are solely run on social media with the help of those who are willing to help and always successful get people to be involved then make a huge and fun event out of the Campaign. We do not need to fly out of Uganda to get foreign people to come help our own but we can get the little we have and make a huge difference that will create awareness for more Ugandans to be involved. Thank you to whomever made it to Luweero out of your busy schedules and made those cute babies
