Its Monday, YAY!! Yes, some of us are morning people and love Mondays too so you can sharpen your knives all you want, we will not be moved. Anyway, last week was quite eventful; from Valentine’s to the first matches of FNL season 4 and it was all fun and games, like literally fun and games. Skip Valentine’s day and how it kept some people on “pins and needles” all week, FNL kept us here at M- idea quite busy and one must say the social media frenzy for the first games of season 4, it was worth it. YMCA was packed to the rafters, of course the ladies did not disappoint, and all that late shopping from kikuubo was worth it, looked”good.”
The court had some very electric energy with all the teams trying to leave a mark on the first games of the season, they mean business and none of them looked scared by any of the other teams. Good spirits, one looks forward to this Friday’s game and what come with them.
This week, our wonderful President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has agreed to sign the Anti- Homosexuality Bill, this meansthat Uganda’s relations with Pro- gay states will be very strained especially with the USA seeing that President Obama has already advised Mr. Museveni not enact the law.
One wonders if it is right for people to try and force their own ideals on others, it is quite apparent that it will take Uganda and the rest of Africa a long time to get used to the idea of men having sex/ marrying other men and women making love to women. Years of culture and tradition plus the religious beliefs that have been sewn deep into the hearts of most African people is not something is easy to get rid of just because the rest of the World wants us to. On the other hand, when
it comes to human rights, gay people have a right and do whatever they want with whomever they want as long as it’s not rape or defilement because they are human beings too. Other than that, let us try to enjoy the week, even if the heat is unbearable and the dust is annoying, be grateful. A wonderful week to you all.
