In the wake of all these sextape and nude leaks, we thought we could talk about social media security. Obviously no one is going to tell you to stop taking nude pictures or having your sexual encounters filmed, but all the same it is better to have a secure social media account.

All social media sites are easily affected by this especially since they are all open sites that allow everyone else to open profiles and connect to whomever they choose to. We all know that when you try to open an account or any site, the password chosen is usually graded as too weak or strong, when your password is too weak in that sense, it means that your account is very easy to hack into by anyone lacking in front of a computer.

Limit Access:

When it comes to Social Media Marketing, there are several or one content manager for each account and once in a while of course other employees will help out where necessary because the passwords are shared. This is helpful but also quite tricky because you do not know where they will login in from or who they share their computers with. Once someone shares the client’s logins, there is a huge chance for it not being secure and easy to access by uninvited third parties, it is therefore advisable for companies to limit the number of people given such information for safety purposes.

Monitor the Accounts:

Have the accounts supervised or monitored by one of the account managers, to know when and who is posting through them and what information is being shared all over the social media through these accounts.

Use Strong Password;

Before anything else, the password to your accounts should be hard enough for unwanted third parties to crack but easy enough for your managers to remember so that you know it is secure, avoid using dates and names close to your profile, rather choose something that will not be easy to figure out yet easy for you to remember.

Change Passwords Frequently:

Once in while change the passwords to your accounts, it is comfortable to have the same password year in and out but to always be on the safe side, you can change the passwords as frequently as you can.

Protected Devices:

There is a big chance that all your social media accounts are always logged in on all your devices, always make sure that these devices are protected i.e. they have an antivirus that has strong internet protection which ensures that your devices are always protected from malware and digital threats.

Before you share your account profile with any app be sure that it is not malicious and dangerous for you and when you feel your account is not secure enough, change the password.
